Road Cycling

In the area surrounding Peebles , the Scottish Borders has miles of meandering  tarmac country lanes across landscapes of gently rolling hills, wild, unspoilt moorland and river valleys.
These roads are well maintained and ideal for road bikes and due to the region only having a population of 100,000 people there are very few cars.

The scenery is fantastic and its a great experience to cross the countryside at you own pace with only the fresh air and glorious views for company.

Some routes (up to 60 miles) are signposted with details in Tourist Information, so there is something for everybody whether pre season training and covering large mileage or gentle touring and taking photographs.

The house is situated in a minor  no through road which is 8 miles long.
This road has very little traffic, so is suitable for children or novice cyclists , there are some great picnic spots further up the valley in the forest or beside the Manor River  .
The views are magnificent ,its very peaceful with wildlife all around.
